Dr. AnnaClaire Fryday DeFriend is from Shreveport, Louisiana. After high school, she completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Louisiana State University. She went on to attend veterinary school at LSU and graduated in the top 30% of her class. Her interests include dermatology, surgery, and preventative healthcare. 

Dr. DeFriend is married to Chance DeFriend. They have two dogs, Brody and Kip, and one cat named Sunday. 

In her free time, Dr. DeFriend enjoys reading, taking care of her house plants, watching movies, and traveling.
