Dr. Angelica hails from Southern California where she grew up on a horse ranch. She attended University of California, Davis and received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2013. Dr. Angelica then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Kitts (Caribbean) where she met her husband, Dr. Joseph Scroggs. Dr. Angelica completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2018.

Dr. Angelica has a horse named Spirit and dog named Zara. She lives in a humble home with her husband in Minden.
