Therapeutic Laser

One of the fastest growing modalities in veterinary medicine is therapeutic lasers. Therapeutic lasers offer a wide range of benefits. As one of the earliest adopters of this technology in 2006, we rely on it heavily in our practice. Our K-Laser Cube is a class IV therapeutic laser that uses specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light for therapy.

Physiological effects include increased circulation, reduced inflammation, pain reduction and enhanced tissue healing. Therapeutic lasers are well tolerated by pets and do not require sedation. Laser therapy has been used in Europe since the 1970s and was cleared by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005.

In many cases, the use of therapy laser diminishes the need for anti-inflammatory medications. It is especially helpful in managing wounds and arthritis.
